Meeting Title II Accessibility Requirements: Web Accessibility Testing Basics

In the first part of the web series, we will covered developing a web accessibility testing plan, which forms the foundation of a web accessibility evaluation. This interactive session will help you build core testing skills to support your organization's compliance ahead of the DOJ Title II April 2026 deadline. We will demonstrate how to verify color contrast ratios using tools like WAVE and axe to ensure readability for all users, including those with low vision or color blindness. Participants will learn to conduct a comprehensive keyboard accessibility analysis by thoroughly navigating web pages without a mouse, identifying keyboard traps, and testing interactive elements. We will also explore how to assess proper reflow and responsive design by testing browser font resizing capabilities, system magnification controls, and zoom functionality.
