We have decided to spotlight Firefox in our Shortcut of the Week for the next few months. Many of the shortcuts are the same in all the main Web browsers, but there are some that are specific to Firefox, so we will explain this as we go along.
At time of posting, we are using Firefox version 147.0.1, running on Windows 11.

This Week's Shortcut:

Bookmarks are saved links to webpages that you visit often, so you can access them quickly without going through a search.
Last week, we learned how to add a bookmark. Now we look at how to access them.
In Firefox, press Control + B to display a side panel with all the bookmarks. You are placed in a Search box where you can start typing the name of your shortcut, or you can press Tab and then Arrow Down through the list. Press Enter on the bookmark that you want. Press Control + B again to close the side panel.
Or press Alt + B to go to the Bookmarks menu and Arrow Down to the folders (Bookmarks Toolbar, Other Bookmarks and Mozilla Firefox). Press Enter on these folders to open up the list of bookmarks and Arrow Down, pressing Enter on the one you want.

Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge do not have a handy side bar or a Bookmarks Menu. You have to open the main menu by pressing Alt + F, then Arrow Down to Bookmarks (or Favorites). Press Enter, then Arrow Down to get to the list.
Most browsers also have a Bookmarks Bar, or Favorites Bar, but we'll talk about that next week.
