Thank you for being on the Sharon's Shortcuts Mailing list.
_____
Mozilla Firefox
Mozilla is a global, non-profit organisation and community, focused on making the Internet open, accessible and private. They are best known for creating the free, open-source Firefox Web browser in 2004, as a faster, more customisable, more private Web browser, which it continues to strive to be today.
Mozilla advocates for user rights, promoting open standards for a healthier web. We admire this philosophy, and we love their logos!

We have decided to spotlight Firefox in our Shortcut of the Week for the next few months. Many of the shortcuts are the same in all the main Web browsers, but there are some that are specific to Firefox, so we will explain this as we go along.
At time of posting, we are using Firefox version 147.0.1, running on Windows 11.
_____
This Week's Shortcut:
The homepage, or start page, is the webpage that is displayed when you open the Firefox browser or when you open a new Window in Firefox. By default in Firefox, the homepage is the Firefox search page. You can go back to the homepage at any time by pressing Alt + Home key. You can change the homepage in the Firefox settings to either a blank page or to a specific webpage.
Note: On a standard desktop keyboard, the Home key is in the set of six keys usually positioned above the Arrow keys. It is the middle key on the top row of this set of six keys. The position of the Home key on laptop keyboards varies based on the laptop brand.
This shortcut also works in Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, etc.
You can find these shortcuts and previous shortcuts of the week on the website in the <https://sharons-shortcuts.us14.list-manage.com/track/click?u=b8f7789e1b727d353e4123491&id=1270c9a5e7&e=89232c411c> Shortcut of the Week section. As always, if you would like to find out or share a particular shortcut for an everyday task on your PC, please get in touch!
