We have decided to spotlight Firefox in our Shortcut of the Week for the next few months. Many of the shortcuts are the same in all the main Web browsers, but there are some that are specific to Firefox, so we will explain this as we go along.
At time of posting, we are using Firefox version 147.0.1, running on Windows 11.

This Week's Shortcut:


To display a webpage in full screen in Firefox, press F11.
This hides the tabs, address bar and bookmarks bar, maximising the viewing space for the webpage.
To come out of full screen, press F11 again.
If you are playing a video in Youtube, you can make the content full screen by pressing the letter F. To come out of this, press F or Escape.
Note: For screen reader users, you may need to turn off the virtual cursor to use the shortcut in Youtube (Insert + Z).
These shortcuts work the same in Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, etc.
