We have decided to spotlight Firefox in our Shortcut of the Week for the next few months. Many of the shortcuts are the same in all the main Web browsers, but there are some that are specific to Firefox, so we will explain this as we go along.
At time of posting, we are using Firefox version 147.0.1, running on Windows 11.

This Week's Shortcut:

Bookmarks are saved links to webpages that you visit often, so you can access them quickly without going through a search.
To add a bookmark in Firefox, press Control + D. Firefox will automatically add the bookmark using the standard name of the webpage after about 5 seconds. Alternatively, if you want to change the name, start typing, and this will delay the confirmation. Giving you time to then use Tab and Arrow keys to change the location of the bookmark as well, if required. Finally, press Enter to confirm or press Escape at any time to cancel.
You can also bookmark all the open Web Tabs at the same time by pressing Control + Shift + D. In this case, Firefox puts all the bookmarks in one folder and gives you the opportunity to name this folder and choose location. Again, press Enter to confirm when done, or press Escape at any time to cancel.

These shortcuts work the same in Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge, except Edge calls them "Favorites".
