Hello,

I cannot tell from your description where you are having a problem setting
the pressure cooker. Go to the dashboard. Select manual, Select the
duration (time) you want. Set the pressure level and then go to start and
begin.

Besure the release valve on the top is in the closed position, that is with
the point of the valve pointing toward the edge, not closer to the center.
Also check the rubber gasket to be sure it is properly seated in the lid.The
valve and/or the seal could prevent pressure from building. Also, over
filling will also prevent proper pressure from building. Pot should not be
more than 3/4 full of liquid and 2/3 would be better. Also, many people
preheat the Instant Pot before filling it with food. This definitely speeds
up the time to get to pressure. To do this set the IP to sautee with or
without a little water in the pot and turn it on for 3-5 minutes. I
recommend putting a little water in the pot to prevent damage to the pot.
You can always dump out the water if you don't need it.

So, unless your IP is malfunctioning, it ought to get up to pressure in
manual mode.

Warmest Regards,

Fred

Hi I am Dar
I have an instant pot, where I am wondering if any of you have had a problem
trying to use the pressure cooking?
I find when you are in manual mode the pressure doesn't work.
I don't remember how I got it to work for potatoes.
I know I did them for 15 minutes.
I also put six eggs with that, killing two birds with one stone.
Then the count down button works.
Thanks for any help.
Also how can I read up on the coo coo pot.
