I am trying to learn to cook.  along with my twins that are ten.  They are doing a better job.  I get so frustrated.  I had normal sight till age 30 and didn’t cook a dam thing.  I hated cooking.  But I had a car and more options.  Now I have kids that like to have meals, lol.  I have a flat glass top stove.  The boiling of water *groan*, how much pepper did I put in; did I flip all of the chicken.  Ggrrr.  Never liked cooking and do not expect to wake up and love it.  and do not have the money for anything delivered like those complete meals that take 30min to cook.  and my kids eat healthy, so mac and cheese or hot dogs are never an option for dinner,  lol
The teaching I am doing is with a family member and it is not going well.  not enough patience on either side.

Oh my dear, if we lived in the same state I would teach you how to cook.
I had a friend in Denver who wanted to cook her own roast.
So we got a roast potatoes and carets.
We put it all together and timed it.
She was so proud from that time on she always did a roast.
Now you can find a roast kit in the store, where it does well in the crock pot and oven.
The crock pot will cook your meal just fine.
