[Small-Appliance-Cooking] Question about what is safe to be put in microwaves:

Take a paper plate, cover it with three or four paper towels, spread out slices of bacon on top, and cook for a couple of minutes. When bacon gets crisp in the microwave, it is a different kind of crisp. I don’t know how to describe it except to call it crisp like a brick. I think you can put a paper towel over it to cut down on splatter. I do that with burger patties when I cook the frozen ones. Pam.

I have a question. How do you cook bacon in the microwave. Also, does it splatter everywhere? And does it get crispy? I have always cooked mine on the stove top. Thanks so much!

Yes, I use paper towels to cover things when cooking and to absorb grease when I am cooking bacon in the microwave.
