[Small-Appliance-Cooking] Question about what is safe to be put in microwaves:

I used to see the cooked bacon at Costco a long time ago, but I haven’t seen it there in a couple of years. So, my next best bet is Schwans. I found some in the supermarket, but it is a tiny package and costs a lot. Pam.

Schwans has good cooked bacon, too, just might be cheaper to get it at Sams or Costco.

Sam’s Club and places have packs of bacon already cooked. There are several layers of bacon with waxed paper in between them. You just place a paper towel on a plate, put as many slices as you want on it in a single layer, cover with another paper towel, and cook. The cooking time will depend on how many slices of bacon you are cooking. Start with 20 or 30 second, check it, and then go from there. It does get crispy and tastes good.

I have a question. How do you cook bacon in the microwave. Also, does it splatter everywhere? And does it get crispy? I have always cooked mine on the stove top. Thanks so much!

Yes, I use paper towels to cover things when cooking and to absorb grease when I am cooking bacon in the microwave.
