Another option for making hard boiled eggs that is totally accessible is 
the Nordicware Microwave Egg Boiler.  It is fast and convenient, and can 
boil up to 4 eggs in less than 10 minutes. You just fill the bottom with 
water, place up to 4 eggs on the tray, snap the lid on and place it in 
the microwave and set it to the appropriate cooking time.  No need to 
pierce the shell, and the eggs come out perfect and easy to peel.  It
