Hi all,
This is Faiz Rasool. I'm a PHD in Sociology candidate at University of
Karachi, Pakistan. My research area is environmental behavior. I've also
worked as an adjunct lecturer in a private university hear in Karachi.
I'm familiar with quantitative research designs. However, my problems have
been in taking the full advantage of the statistical software's like SPSS,
stata, and R. SPSS accessibility have been widely discussed in blind
community. So I do not think I need to further explain about the
difficulties I've faced in using SPSS. Some users of r find it to be the
best solution. But I find its learning curve bit to steep for me. Mainly
because in developing countries software support and guidance to blind
students is non-existent in many cases. And I'm one of these cases.
I'll be asking many questions, and would try my best to answer the
questions that others may have.
For now, I'd like to ask is anyone familiar with the grounded theory
analysis or thematic analysis. I've read about grounded theory, but few
confusions are still there particularly about developing memos and
sensitizing concepts. The response of anyone who's familiar with grounded
theory or thematic analysis would be most appreciated.
Regards,
Faiz.
