Jeannie,

I would be interested to know what your findings were in
regards to which educational methods changed implicit associations. Can you
write me offlist?

Hello all-

My name is Jeannie Massay . I graduated last may with a Masters in
Counseling Psychology. My intentions , at the time, were to pursue a
doctoral program. However, my mother-in-law became quite ill and those plans
were put on hold for a while. I will begin , once again, applying actively
for programs in Counseling. That being said, I am particularly interested in
research regarding implicit associations, how they change over time and
across cultures, and if/ how they can be manipulated.

My Masters research dealt with implicit associations regarding disability
and how different methods of educational intervention changed the
association.

I have a few questions for the list in general:

Did you go straight from your Bachelor's into your doctoral programs?

If not, how much time did you take off?

Do you work outside of teaching at the universities that you are completing
your programs at?

This sounds to be an exciting list as everyone seems to have interesting
research topics. This is great!

Jeannie
