Dear all,

 

It seems a long time since last September, when we brought you the thrills and spills of the Beijing Paralympic Goalball Tournament, but finally our coverage of the 2009 season is about to begin, witht eh 25th Anniversary of the USABA Mid West Regional John Bakos Memorial Tournament, From Kalamazoo, Michigan.

 

>From 7:30am on Saturday, through  til mid afternoon on Sunday, we are honored and delighted to broadcast the action from one of the three gymnasiums in the Western Michigan University's fantastic facilities. And we will be bringing you continuous news and reports from the action on the other two courts.

 

Please note, up to press we are not, repeat not, broadcasting using the usual chat room at talkingcommunities.org. Also, I have to pass on the extremely sad news that Pat Price, the lady who worked so tirelessly last year and supported the sport of goalball so well, passed away on February 1st. I will be dedicate the Audio Network's coverage to her memory.

 

Here is the direct web link to the broadcast page. The player is embedded into the page, and when you open the page up, you should hear the mens and womens final from Beijing playing, as a test of your ability to listen to the live broadcast, which will start on Saturday at 7:30am. Please let me know if you have any difficulties hearing the audio, and I will attempt to offer alternatives.
