Karen,

So, you have been bitten by the spin bug, have you?
Yes, it is addictive!
I am one who spins morningly, and When I was a
newbie, I learned about cycle shorts, which
are tight, spandex short leggings equipped with
pads on the butt for protection.
Another must, is shoes , designed specifically
for the bike, with no laces equip with Velcro,
rather than laces which can untie. They clip into
the pedals, to help standing in the saddle feel more safe and secure.
A must!
They are available at REI, or any sporting goods
store, but I suggest procuring these things to maximize your spin experience.
And, Karen, happy spinning!
