Hi Christella, and all,
Christella, I apologize. I'm a bit backed-up on digests. Or I'd have told
you, "no problem" sooner. ;-)
It's not a problem that we can't. Quite understandable at this late date,
actually. That's why I asked about just doing some informal thing. And I
for one wasn't griping about anything in particular, other than when I first
heard about our being told we flat-out couldn't skate or tandem. I didn't
handle that bitof news so well for the first few hours, and I should've
waited to respond, truly, before giving a public response.
I appreciate your kindness in responding to me, though. Kindness makes all
the difference in the world. And as Joe pointed out, that kindness works
well when extended both ways. I haven't said it, but I certainly do
appreciate all that has been done. You ask for my understanding below, and
you apologized. No apologies are necessary, of course. Keep up the great
work. And May God bless each of you mightily for it, and through it.
Strive On!
Everett

Hi Everett, I just wanted to respond to part of your message. This hotel is
really being picky. I have been asked by Mrs. Jernigan to not add anything
without her approval. I think at this late date it would be difficult to
get a tandem event added without going through a whole bunch of hoops. I
apologize but I have been working on putting all of the extravaganza events
together, and they will all require every participant to feel out a
liability waver. Forgive me, but I have a lot on my plate with the
swimming, judo, and rowing events. I honestly think a tandem event would be
difficult to pull off at this late date. I ask in advance for your
understanding. Thanks
Chris
