happened for this year, this past weekend.  Anyone been part of it before?

2009 The Adventure TEAM Challenge

What:
The Adventure TEAM Challenge, (formerly called The Real Deal) is a unique,
push-the-envelope, inclusive problem-solving adventure that celebrates true
diversity and emphasizes how much more effective we can be by working
together as a TEAM. The Ultimate Team Adventure Challenge is a multi-day,
multi-sport TEAM-building wilderness adventure challenge. Teams made up of 5
athletes, two with disabilities and three without, work together (to) meet
the challenges of the terrain. The event was conceived by Erik Weihenmayer.

When:
Friday-Sunday, June 26-28, 2009. TEAM training takes place on Friday June
26th led by Ian Adamson, acclaimed adventure racer, and by Timberline Tours,
a leader in Colorado River Whitewater Rafting since 1971.

Where:
The event is based in the heart of the Rocky Mountains near Kremmling,
Colorado; rafting the mighty Colorado River, hiking dramatic peaks and
biking through beautiful alpine meadows.

Why:
World T.E.A.M. Sports creates inclusive sports TEAMS; using the powerful
platform of sports to bring together the disabled and able-bodied athletes.

The Adventure TEAM Challenge highlights the potential and capabilities of
all participants. Like previous World T.E.A.M. Sports events, this race is
about meeting challenges, building camaraderie, and developing the lasting
knowledge that ALL of the participants are integral members of our society.
