Well, the "I have the right..." bum inside says you should have made yourself a little room in one of the lanes, but my more sensible side says to simply write that time down in your log/journal and avoid it next time.
I love those "stair climber" machines when I can find one I have my "cheat sheet" for. When walking (on a treadmill for example), you add approximately 1.8 times the incline to your intensity level (making the math real simple there), and while I don't know the specifics on the stair climbers, I imagine from a biomechanics standpoint that it is similar, with the incline being up to like 30% or something (something I've never actually measured). I do have a formula for calculating calorie expenditure for stair workouts, if you want it off list Joe.
As to everyone else in the "goal ball" world, my only real experience is with an adaptive PE class I took for my degree. I was playing three on one against my sleep shaded peers...not because I can actually play, but in that they had no experience with tracking the direction of sounds. I started losing when the teams became four to one, but then I was still better than 50%. Unfortunately, here in Wyoming (which technically is the least populated state per square mile, and we have more antelope than people) there aren't any goal ball or beep baseball teams in the area. I'll stick to my individual activities for now.
Speaking of which, yours truly has been cleared to exercise fully again, ahead of schedule, thank you to all. My only restriction is to "bike less miles" for now...Ron, you might find the most humor in this...I've cranked the resistance way up on my trainer, slightly tightened the brakes for additional resistance, and I'm cycling the same amount of time in a much lower gear...Hey, it is less miles as ordered!
Loved reading everyone's exploits while I was on the DL and IRL, you guys and girls are all pretty awesome.

(I dropped the Dr. Kel for now, it sounds too much like Dr. Phil with JAWS)
