[Sportsandrec] a message from the sports and rec president

Hello list,

I would like to remind everyone of a few things concerning this listserv. Please read the below listserv rules and guidelines. Please help the sports and rec board in making this listserv, and this division, the best and coolest thing since presliced bagels.
  

Listserv Rules

 

1. No profanity

 

2. No sexual innuendos

 

3. No personal attacks, threats, or insults against other list members

 

4. No one line emails. If you'd like to send someone a simple thank you or agree with them (ie. "Thanks for the suggestion, Lindsey!" or "I agree totally. Goalball rocks."), please send it to the person's personal email address and not to the whole listserv.

 

5. No comments that have nothing whatsoever to do with sports or recreation. (If you'd like to let everyone on the list know that you've graduated from college or got a new job, that's fine. But please find an opportunity to tack this onto the end of a relevant email about sports or recreational activities. Don't just send it by itself.)

 

General Guidelines 

 

1. Think about whether your questions and feedback are relevant to the whole list or whether they would better be made to individual list members offline.

 

2. Please be mindful of the email traffic you create on the list. If you can read all the day's listserv emails and then consolidate your responses into one or two emails a day, that would be most appreciated.

 

3. Before you send an email to the listserv, ask yourself if you would want a 12 year old blind youth, the parents of a blind child, or a newly blinded senior citizen reading your email. If not, think about editing it before you hit "Send".
