A couple suggestions beyond "Don't eat the junk..."

* Keep a journal of what you eat, and keep it honest. Looking back helps you with the "Why did I eat that???" rhetoricals
* Cut back on the weights until you reach your goal. A whole body routine a couple of days a week will help maintain strength and most muscle mass, and will leave more time for the cardio workouts.

* Go for the "Long, Slow, Distance" (LSD) workouts. Go for 60-70% of your Age Predicted Maximum Heart Rate (APMHR) (220 minus age times 60% and 70%) for at least an hour or more. This is the body's optimal "fat burning" zone. workouts.

* Stock the kitchen with the healthy alternatives..."Out of sight, out of mind."

* Set up a "goal calendar." There's almost 7 weeks to convention, so you want to lose 2 to 2 1/2 pounds a week; a slightly high goal for someone who already works out constantly, but certainly doable. Your goal calendar should list your weekly goals and progress, and should be in "plain view," meaning you should come across it often during the course of your normal day.

This is a great opportunity to apply the "S.M.A.R.T." principle of goal setting to your plans.

"Life is to be lived on the positive tip...Never lose the ground, you're never going to slip if you never lose the ground...Always draw the line, never wear the frown...Should've got myself some bicycle wheels..." (Bicycle Wheels, Ugly Kid Joe)

Keep us informed of your progress, I'm sure the list can help to hold you to your goals.
