Hi Gary,

I am a young adult and I been on list for a few years. Many ask about weight loss. To lose weight you need a nutritious balanced diet and aerobic exercise most days of the week. Work up to an hour.

Most accessible equipment? Well, you need cardio equipment such as a treadmill, eliptical or bike. Its hard to say what is more accessible. Generally accessibility is a problem due to the flat pannel screens and if you have no vision you can't read the screen.
A while back someone said Precor was more accessible. Just go to a store and check out the machines. If its flat but you like it, you can make it accessible by placing dimo tape labels on buttons.
For sporting equipment, there are equipment with balls inside. I don't have people to play with so I don't use audible balls. But that might be something to look into if you want to play basketball with someone. For my exercise I prefer exercising at a gym but I have done it at home. My favorite thing is the treadmill where I walk and jog.
For exercise for weight loss the duration and frequency is more important than intensity. When I had a personal trainer she told me that long, slow cardio sessions were key and to do it most days of the week of course. The long duration will tap into the fat burning areas.

HTH,
Ashley
