Hi Gary,
First let me say good luck to you and you can do it. I like the eliptical
machines as they are really easy on the joints and give a full body cardio
workout. Walking is a great start.
I would really consider joining your local Y.M.C.A. I am a member and
believe there are many good reasons: the equipment is there for one price
that they will work with you on an income based scale, there are trained
professionals who will help you with the machines and dietary suggestions do
not be afraid to ask and don't be afraid to ask another person smile, you
can join classes where you can meet people who have some of the same
struggles we have all had, and you can change your workout as you progress
with no additional cost. It's a great program.
Be well,
Joe Shaw
