hi LM
Adrenaline doesn't stay active that long after a "rush" regardless of
its origin.
The body will metabolize it usually in less than an hour.
It's more likely your lack of sleep is due to hypertension, caffeine,
or something like that.
in fact, adrenaline when present in the blood raises glucose levels,
which will ultimately result in higher insulin levels, which in term
helps you sleep.
many physicians and coaches recommend focusing on another activity that
you know helps you calm down after exercise. Deep breathing or
meditation can help lower effects as well, and will help you relax.
gl
Mike

I'm up at 6 and go to bed at 11--and I really should be in bed by 10
because 7 hours is not enough sleep for me especially since I'm an
awful sleeper. The only time I have to work out would be from about 8
or 8:30 p.m. until bed time. Does anyone else have a hard time
sleeping after a work out? I read you shouldn't work out 3 hours
before bedtime because of the addrenalene. So, sleep, mmmmm, good for
LM, or workout which is also good and a handful of hours of sleep ...
hmmmmmm maybe not so good?
