Hello:

I'm OVER 35, and it is my humble opinion that variation is the KEY to 
a SUCCESSFUL Exercise program primarily because your body's muscles 
will remember the same OLD ROUTINE. This is why I FEEL that Spin 
Classes are GREAT for exercising your Lower Body. It can give you 
aerobic & strength training depending upon how the spinner adapts to 
the change in resistance on the Spin Bike.
lower resistance usually , but not always more than often gives the 
spinner an aerobic workout: whereas; higher resistance builds & tones muscles.
