Mike,
I'm very sorry you didn't have the sports activities as a blind child. I
know for me it was often a way to break the ice as if kids and adults saw me
doing sports then they were more likely to include me in other things.
We did not have any organized blindness groups and at times we traveled a
distance to find things. Adversity was definitely present, but it was worth
it.
I'm glad you have not allowed the early obstacles to keep you down.
