I would think long straight cane would best for this .I would think you have
problems issues with folding canes.

Lori, what is a bear bell?  IM going to EHC this Thursday and plan on hiking
mount veeder.  Cam't wait!  Just hope to avoid poison oak but I highly doubt
it.  Also, anyone have ideas on the right cane to use on a hike?
