Has anyone been ocean kayaking?  What sort of fitness level does this 
require?  Are there any blindness concerns that I should be aware of?

I have zero experience with kayaking.  I'm thinking of going on a half 
day trip during an upcoming vacation to Alaska.  The tour advertises 
that its for beginners and they provide all equipment.

I'm not set on this just yet.  I'm looking into different tours and 
things available to do.  I want to have a good time and try things I 
wouldn't normally do, but I don't want to be sore for the rest of the trip.
