[Sportsandrec] Marking Fitness Equipment

At my current fitness center, most of the cardio equipment has flat control panels, so I may need some of the buttons labeled somehow. Yet I don't want any labels I make to get in the way of others using the equipment.

I'm looking at the elliptical, treadmill, exercise bikes, and maybe some of the other equipment.

Does anyone out there have any suggestions for how to best label the control panels so that I can use them and not have labels get ripped off or get in the way? Thanks.
