Hi all,

Sometime I’d like to try this new class out; such classes are offered at my local rec center.
Is anyone doing this new exercise activity? TRX suspension training was originally for the military navy seals,  but brought to civilians later. >From what I’ve seen, it’s a small piece of equipment; it has a bar to pull up on and straps hang down for you to be suspended on. Internet pictures are not big enough, so I cannot see as much detail as I’d want.

Can anyone who tried it explain this? What exercises have you performed? I know it’s a resistance tool but using mainly body weight and the straps for the work. Can you do this safely without strength training beforehand, or do you need to begin with free weights such as dumb bells first?
How exactly are you suspended? How can you do leg exercises with it?
I know they do that in class, not sure how you can do squats or lunges while suspended though.

I believe Kristella said she did this training. So, hope there are others to chime in.
I’ve heard lots of good things about it and sounds fun.
