[Sportsandrec] Hi!

Believe it or not, I already know that. The Ravens won a Super Bull before I
became one of their fans. Back then, I was not into football yet. I do
remember hearing something over the radio about it in route to the Oregon
School for the Blind. Back then, I wanted nothing to do with football and
everything to do with hockey. I have been a fan of the Portland Winterhawks
of the Western Hockey League and the Pittsburgh Penguins of the National
Hockey League since I was 9 years old. I watched hockey, not football. I was
a fan of the Pittsburgh Penguins and I watched them whenever I could. Hockey
did not have good televition coverige especially when my parents did not
have cable T.V. in the house. I became a fan of the Detroit Red Wings of the
National Hockey League and the Oregon State Beavers of collige football in
highschool. I did not get interested in the Baltimore Ravens until I flew to
Baltimore myself to attend Youth SLAM in 2007. I was so impressed with my
experiences in Baltimore that I wanted to follow their hockey team if they
had one. Unfortunently, Baltimore did not have a hockey team. They had a
football team and a baseball team but not a hockey team. I went to turn on
the usual Sunday evening local news one Sunday only to discover that the
Baltimore Ravens were on instead. I remembered Youth SLAM a few weeks
earlier and felt the same energy with the football game on as I did back in
Baltimore. Since my trip to Baltimore, something about Baltimore fasinated
me to no end. I suddenly wanted the Ravens to beat the Giants even though it
was only the pre-season. The Ravens wound up losing the game by one point. I
was not happy that they lost the football game. In the wider sceme of
things, that turned out not to matter mainly because Baltimore took a loss
that didn't count much tward the Super Bull and at the same time without
them knowing it that they added a Ravens fan to their fan club. I have
watched the Ravens ever since that is, as long as my schedule and televition
would allow me. Last October, I got an iphone and since then, I got
wonderful apps for watching football and hockey. I am still a big hockey and
football fan. I follow the Detroit Red Wings, the Pittsburgh Penguins, the
Portland Winterhawks, the Oregon State Beavers and of course, the Baltimore
Ravens. I have not missed a lot of football or hockey games since I got
those apps. I would have loved it if I was in Baltimore instead of Salem,
Oregon this morning because that victory praid sounded like a blast! Thank
goodness for newsline! I can read the Baltimore Sun at any time. I found out
about the praid when I was reading Super Bull articals from the Baltimore
Sun over newsline. Go Ravens!!!

>>> Hellow all, this list has been amazingly quiet. I'm surprized that no
>>> one as of reading this E Mail has not even mentioned the Super Bull
>>> let alone, had a bit of fun with riveries. Since we are the sports
>>> and reck, I have to speak about one of the best sporting events of
>>> the year. Last night, the Super Bull took place. This year, the
>>> Baltimore Ravens played against the San Fran Sisco 49ers. I'm sure
>>> that if you read the newspapers on newsline or watched the news or
>>> turned on your regular radio that you might have heard all about it.
>>> For anyone who hasn't, I might as well have a bit of fun by spilling
>>> the beans about it as well as tell you all my experience with
>>> watching it on my iphone. This year, I gathered with some friends at
>>> a friend's place to watch the Super Bull. We got there two hours
>>> before the start of the game. One of my friends showed us his Mac
>>> computer and his ipad which he got last week. While we played with
>>> the Mac and ipad and I was halfway through checking out Sunday's
>>> Baltimore Sun on newsline, the internet suddenly died. We tried
>>> trouble shooting the problem but had no luck. My friend's grandmother
>>> came over and dropped of a lot of chicken wings for the big game. We
>>> wound up using my iphone on my data plan with my permition to watch
>>> the football game. I pulled up the football game on the wonderful app
>>> called All Football as we dug into the chicken wings. The teams who
>>> played in the Super Bull this year was the Baltimore Ravens against
>>> the San Fran Sisco 49ers. We were all rooting on the Baltimore
>>> Ravens. The game began with Baltimore winning the coin toss but they
>>> defferd it to the second half. The Ravens scored a touch down making
>>> the score 7 zip in Baltimore's favor. The 49ers answered it with a
>>> field goal making the score Baltimore 7, San Fran Sisco 3. The Ravens
>>> then scored another touch down which made it
>>> 14 to 3 in Baltimore's favor. Next, the Ravens scored again which
>>> made it 21 to 3 in Baltimore's favor. The 49ers answered that with
>>> another field goal which made the score 21 to 6 in Baltimore's favor.
>>> The half ended with that score. We didn't watch the performence by
>>> Beonsay nor the funny televition commercials because the football
>>> game was streemed over the radio. Once the half time radio show was
>>> over, the second half began. Right off of the bat, the Ravens scored
>>> a touchdown which made the score 28 to 6 in Baltimore's favor. The
>>> next play, the Ravens sacked the 49ers but before we had figured out
>>> the full extent of the play, we suddenly lost the game. Once I made
>>> sure that the game was back on and that we had gotten the right
>>> station over the All Football app, we suddenly heard that the Super
>>> Dome had lost power. Of course, we were all taken aback. The
>>> broadcast now sounded as though my iphone was replaced by a radio
>>> that was common in the 1960's. Over the next half hour, we watched as
>>> they restored the power in the Super Dome. During that time, it
>>> looked as though the Ravens and 49ers were at a practice session
>>> instead of the middle of the Super Bull which was on hold until power
>>> could be restored. The players did warm-ups and played with the
>>> football. Once power was finally restored and all systems were running
> again, the game resumed.
>>> The 49ers scored 17 unanswered points by scoring two touchdowns and a
>>> field goal. Now the score was 28 to 19 in Baltimore's favor. One of
>>> the touch downs, the 49ers tried to score a two point convertion but
>>> it didn't work. Next, Baltimore scored a field goal making the score
>>> 31 to 19 in Baltimore's favor. Following this, the 49ers scored
>>> another touch down which made the score 31 to 26 in Baltimore's favor.
>>> The 49ers then scored a field goal which made the score
>>> 31 to 29 in Baltimore's favor. Next, the Ravens scored a field goal
>>> making the score 34 to 29 in Baltimore's favor. The Ravens almost
>>> lost the game when they were at their own two yard line but the 49ers
>>> who had the ball made an imcompleet pass at fourth down and the 49ers
>>> scored a safety which made the score 34 to 31 in Baltimore's favor.
>>> That was the most intense point of the whole entire game. The Ravens
>>> wound up eating the clock up which for my friends and I, was a good
>>> thing. The Ravens wound up winning the football game and the Super
>>> Bull. We all celebrated and watched the Ravens recieve the Lembardy
>>> troffy and we also watched Joe Flaco win the MVP award. Once we were
>>> done watching the awards, my Mac friend got on his computer while the
>>> rest of us got onto our iphones. I spent the next hour keeping up
>>> with Facebook and text messiging. During this, I learned to my great
>>> surprize that my dad who is a die hard Steelers fan rooted on the
>>> Ravens during the Super Bull game. My Grandmother and brother both
>>> rooted on the 49ers. One of my friends and I let off some of the
>>> Super Bull excitement by sending each other randem off of the wall
>>> text messages back and forth to each other. The Super Bull party
>>> wrapped up and we all went home. As for today, I have spent much of
>>> it reading newspaper articals about the Super Bull and keeping up
>>> with Facebook because the Super Bull is still being discussed. I am
>>> very happy that the Baltimore Ravens won the Super Bull!
>>> Go
>>> Ravens!!!
