Hi All,

I've decided to purchase a new row machine and it is due to arrive any
day now. I've been looking for a used one over the last year and not
finding anything with my specifications (concept II model D with a PM
4).

anyways, I have questions to all those rowers out there about
technique and actual workouts so I'm just going to list them and I'm
happy to get answers for all or some of the questions. Thanks!

LM

1. I've rowed in the past, but I want to make sure I get back on the
seat and do things right. So for technique, when you start, is it at
the "catch?" Then, you push back with your legs, follow up with your
back/shoulders, and then pull the handle as the last step and right
into your belly area? Yes or no? Then, you reverse, right? Arms, back
and then legs?

2. How do you recommend starting? What types of intervals or speed,
distance, stroke rate, split, etc? How long of a workout?

3. How do I use Erg Chatter and where do I find it? Can I set it up on
my own or will I need someone with eyeballs?

4. I'm pretty sure I've been told that Erg Buddy works with a PM 4 as
well. I know it doesn't give all the info Erg Chatter does, but what
info does it give?

Thanks, again!
