[Sportsandrec] Training Ropes

I read somewhere about a guy who went to a fire station and was given a worn
out fire hose that he used for battling ropes. Evidently fire stations must
replace these hoses more frequently than I realized.
The cheapest thing I use at home is a tractor tire that I beat on with a
sledge hammer. That'll get you blowing in a hurry. My neighbors surely
must think I've lost my mind. LOL

I have never used them but your logic is good. Would suck to have to buy a
second set later as they ain't cheap...nothing much is.

I am talking about battling ropes. The way I look at it, I can adapt to the
two inch fifty foot rope and start if I need by putting knots in the rope to
shorten it til I get accustomed to the ropes if need be. But I definitely
don't want to buy too small.

Michael,
Are you talking about a climbing rope or the currently popular "battle
ropes"?

Mornin folks,

I have a fairly comprohensive gym at home to supplement the gym where I
work out four times per week. I use it when I need to do extra training
and can’t get to the gym for whatever reason. I am considering purchasing
training ropes. Does anyone incorporate them into your training? If so,
what size do you use?

Thanks.
Michael
