Busily cultivating and propagating the love of diecast racing and
collecting in person and on Facebook via Iowa Diecast Racers, Iowa
Diecast Trade Group, and Orange Track Racing.
How's this for a nonvisual lesson? Seeing is not always believing. A
diecast vehicle appearing to be all metal is not always true. It could
be hollow shelled or made of plastic or metal like materials. Wheels
could appear as rubber, as in Real Riders, but made of plastic without
stickiness by touch. Plastic wheels roll better on plastic tracks than
rubber. Diecast vehicles often appear quite speedy and raceable while
packaged, but may come out with defective axles, making them not so
fast on track. Cheers and Happy Hot Wheeling!
