[SportsandRec] playing pool

Hi Joeseph and group,
My family also loves pool. Specifically, my brothers love it and ever since
we got the pool table in the basement here, they played a lot as we grew up.
It must have been fun parties when your uncle had games. Pool can be fast
but fun. I would just hear the balls clanging but never was a part of a
game. So that is why I asked how I might be in a game. Tomorrow, I'm going
out to lunch and the group will be playing pool as well. Hard Times Café has
a billiard too. I'm thinking I'll team up with someone to play.

I've never actually played a game. My brother Steve showed me the game
though hand over hand and we shot some balls together. I've never actually
played a game though where there are opponents and we kept score.

My exposure to pool was just simply trying to hit some balls. Steve showed
me how to hold the cue stick and showed me how to use it hand over hand.
Then I think I tried it. I was able to shoot some balls into the pockets.

One alternative technique I used for finding the pockets was asking someone
to stand near one and speak to me. They also told me where the ball was that
I needed to hit with a clock position. For instance, saying, Ashley hit the
ball which is at 4:00.

Anyways, thanks for writing in. At least I know now that I have company in
trying to figure it out.

Ashley

I always wondered this too. My family loves pool. My uncle has a pool
table in the garage that the family plays for parties and I wish i
could join in. They also have darts. I have heard of audio darts but
don't know much about them
