Hi all,

Our very own Sports and Recreation Division Vice President, Amy Hatten, is participating in a 12-week triathlon training program to prepare her for a sprint mini triathlon. 

Let’s all support her in the challenge and endeavor! 

From Amy herself: “The training program is done through a nonprofit organization called Tri It For Life, an organization that empowers women and provides mentorship to those beginning triathletes. The training will prepare me to participate in She Tris triathlon taking place at I’On Club in Mt. Pleasant on May 20th, 2023. The triathlon consists of a 200 yard swim, 8 mile bike and 2 mile run. The training is three days a week beginning Monday February 27th and most trainings are held in Mt. Pleassnt. Transportation in Charleston is a barrier for many of us as it’s unreliable, not on time and many areas including Mt. Pleassnt has gaps in area coverage. I also work full-time and waiting for unreliable and not very dependable transportation is going to make my days extremely long during these 12-weeks.

I am asking for assistance to offset transportation costs to get to and from training sessions. Your generous assistance will help me prepare and get me across the finish line!!!!” 🏊🚴‍♂️🏃
