Upcoming Events and Opportunities with the NFB Sports and Recreation Division

Howdy Sports and Recreation Federationists,

NFB Sports & Recreation is excited to bring you four days of engagement, activity, and community during the 2024 convention! Here’s what we’ve got planned:

**Business Meeting**
When: Thursday, July 4, 2024, 9 AM - 1 PM
Where: Salon 11
Details: Elections of President, Vice-President, and Board Members 1, 2, & 5; presentations on adaptive sports for blind athletes; networking with the active blind community. Annual dues are $5; other membership levels are available.

**Fitness Sessions**
When: Friday & Saturday, July 5 & 6, 2024, 6:30 - 8:30 PM
Where: Junior Ballroom G
Details: Accessible self-defense on July 5; accessible yoga and bodyweight strength exercises on July 6.

**Inclusive Sports and Recreation Carnival**
When: Sunday, July 7, 2024, 7 - 10 PM
Where: Junior Ballroom G & Surface Lot
Details: Enjoy rock climbing, ax throwing, bungee running, giant Jenga, a bounce house, blind soccer, hockey, tennis, cricket, blind baseball, goalball, and accessible card games. Suggested donation of $10 or volunteer for event entry. It is recommended to wear closed-toed shoes and athletic wear for this event.

**$1000 Cash Raffle**
When: Drawing on the evening of July 7, 2024, live on Facebook
Details: $20 per raffle ticket, which includes membership. Buy multiple entries and specify the number in the PayPal memo. Contact Richie at 512-769-2754 or flores.richie at gmail.com for alternate payment methods.
