[stylist] Blind and segregation

I have to agree with Angela. In New York State we have a Commission that
serves the blind community. Supposedly. Every move they make has to be
backed by a chapter or verse from their guidelines. No more, no less.
Every public building has to have handicap accessable bathrooms. How many
times has a blind person been in a public building and asked someone for
directions to the restroom? How many times is that question answered with a
pointing finger? Legislation is like an outline to a term paper. You have
the idea down, but now you have to do the real work to complete the project.
Legislators can draw the outline, but in order to complete the project
humanity has to use common sense to complete the project. Judith
