Shelley, are you considering putting in a story from our 2008 writing
contest? Hmm, 3 prize winners and I don't think they all three were
published in S&S.

Subject: [stylist] Last Call for entries for the Slate and Style fall issue

Hello Fellow Writers,

Wow, today I get an extra day off. You may have seen that I've been writing
like crazy. Our hours at work are starting to slow down just a little and
I'm glad for that. This gives me a much needed day to let you know that as
of today October 22 I've hardly received any articles or stories for
consideration in the issue. We've had this call out for over two months and
if you want to get in on this issue you have nine days to do it. As of 1201
AM on Saturday November 1 I will no longer accept submissions for the fall
issue of Slate and Style. I do have some promisng considerations and I do
have some articles you will find interesting. One of the things I like to do
is get perspectives from authors on different subjects and explore their
journeys to success. We'll have one such article in the upcoming issue. This
is just to whet your appetite for me. If you want to be part of it get your
short article or submission in by 1201 on Saturday November 1. Remember
fiction is 3000 wor!
ds or less and short articles on writing are 700 words. Anything received in
my mailbox after that will be considered for further issues so if you have
that masterpiece you're working on don't feel rushed. If you do have
something for us please get it in asap.

Thanks a very big bunch and everyone have a super fabulous day!
