Dear friends,
I'm writing to share some amazing news.

Our sales tax proposals necessary to the continuance and improvement 
of fixed-route and paratransit in Lawrence Kansas passed, and passed handily!

it was about 70% to 30%.  this is a most unusual margin of victory 
for any tax proposal, but this year especially.  so, we have 
guaranteed funding for transit for ten years now.
