I have never seen a book on this topic. Nor have I seen a paper or article
either. It would be interesting to examine and write. Good luck. (And no,
I've not read every book nor article out there.)

Deaf blind people amaze me. My friend Francisco can't speak at all, and it
bothers me greatly that a lot of people dismiss him for that reason. by no
means do I know sign language, but I can finger spell. It is amusing, my
braille skills are equilivent to his signing skills, and his braille skills
to my signing. See neither of us are fulent in the other. He just started
learning braille a few years ago, and unfortunately, due to the problems in
our district has not recieved proper instruction. Between our brailling and
signing we manage to communicate. It's sweet actually. We've known each
other since third grade, but I moved away from California my fourth grade
year, and didn't see him again until my freshman year. He can't talk, but he
plays soccer, is the best student in his wood shop class, and loves dogs.
And, he'll tell you just that if you give him the chance. *smile*
