two problems with what you've posted Fred,
if I say you're wearing the same shoes I am, sounds as if the exact 
physical pair of shoes you and I are sharing; though that would make 
standing difficult.  identical vs. same.  so when  people write 
"exact same" they really mean "identical."

I agree with you about sometimes breaking the rules.  that we 
should  be aware when we do it, and do it for good reason(s) when we 
choose to do it.
