Is there a business or someone who can record the audio version that we
might want to hire?

recording and reading the text are time consuming and the reading is best
done by someone with some experience.
i must say though that the author will lend a passion to the reading, but
they sometimes lack the technical speaking skills to keep the listener
engaged.

the hard part about this process is the audio editing. this takes
specialized software and is a skill that takes some learning.
also sometimes it is good to have a director who can guide the actor in
interpreting the piece.
