Judith, someone asked you a pretty important question and I sort of did to-
and that is have you gone through the request to subscribe/get digital books
from NLS? Then if you have, they provide you with the user ID and the
passward. And if you have, there would not now be your confusion.

In fact, below is a copy of the email I received back when I joined, during
the test phase of the program. So the message you would get now would be
different-

From: NLS

Dear Robert ,

Welcome to the NLS Download Service Pilot, a pilot test of downloadable
books and magazines from NLS.

We have created your user ID and an initial password for your use on the NLS
Download Pilot web site.

Your user ID is your email address, which is:

newmanrl at cox.net

Your password is:

Xonnac:7

The password has eight characters. The first character is capitalized.
The next five are lower case letters. The seventh character is a special
character, and the eighth character is a number.

This is a one-time use password. You will be required to choose a new
password when you first login.

The address for the Download Pilot site is:

https://www.nlstalkingbooks.org/dtb/DownloadPilot.html

All of the rules and instructions for participation are explained in the
document "Instructions to Participants" on the web site. You are strongly
encouraged to read this document from beginning to end before logging in.

The instructions can be found at:

https://www.nlstalkingbooks.org/dtb/instructions.html

Once you have navigated to the web site, you'll be asked for your user ID
and password. Screen reader users need not enter either Forms Mode or
Browse Mode (MSAA Mode) to log in.

The first time you log in, you will be required to choose a new password.
You will also be given the opportunity to set a secret question and answer
that can be used later to recover a lost or forgotten password.

Remember, you may not share your user ID and password with anybody!

We look forward to your participation and feedback.

Info: This is message #0003 sent to newmanrl at cox.net by the NLS Download
Pilot web site.
