Okay, I've finally gotten brave enough to share. I know the content is a bit political and we're supposed to stay away from that on this list, but here goes:
COMPARING APPLES TO ORANGES
By BARBARA Hammel
They throw around the Holocaust
Like a child's playground ball,
It's just a word to banter about
If it ever was at all.
It's ancient history, don't you know,
And facts change depending who's telling,
Things added or omitted depending
On the agenda one is selling.
Six million people died, my friend,
That's peanuts to what we face,
And saying your rival's a Nazi
Is nothing but a disgrace.
They throw around the Holocaust
Like a game they used to play,
For whoever knows it firsthand
Is just an old codger today.
It's ancient history, don't you know,
Or a conspiracy cooked up to scare,
Some even say it didn't happen,
How do they even dare?
Six million people died back then,
And not one of them had a choice,
So how can lack of reform compare
When America has raised its voice?
They throw around the Holocaust
Like a cream pie in the face,
And comparing it to anything
In the U.S. is a disgrace.

Snow is God's way of reminding us that beauty can be found even in the coldest hearts.
