Lori,
so there isn't a traditional drink for Purim?
well, like any conservative christian I've studied the book of Esther
and know well the story of Haman's evil plans and the quite beautiful
Esther's work with her courageous and wise uncle Mordicai. the story
ends with Haman being killed in the same manner he had planned for
others. by the way, I also believe that story to be true and not a fiction.
I just hadn't heard that a man was allowed during Purim to drink so
much he couldn't tell the difference between Haman and Mordicai! I'd
worry if he's so drunk he couldn't tell the difference between
Mordicai and Esther, myself. lol
thanks Lori, I appreciate the explanation.
