Judith,
please calm down.  I was certainly not trying to stereotype anybody 
for God's sake!
note the use of the word "traditional" in my post.  historically, 
many peoples of the world have traditional foods and drinks for 
special events.
I asked because I didn't know.  since Purim is  an important holiday 
for jews, and Lori mentioned that about men having permission to get 
drunk, I was simply curious.
