[stylist] a poem

Jim, I was not getting defensive. There are so many misconceptions about
our traditions. Here's one that will make your hair curl. In Eastern
Europe during the nineteenth century, Jews were accused of killing Christian
children so that they could use their blood to prepare the traditional Purim
pastry or Hamantoshen. These accusations were later called blood libels.
Some accused Jews of the same crime in the making of Matzo or the cracker
like food eaten on Passover. Lots of Jews were murdered as the cries of the
blood libels circulated in Jewish villages. We aren't allowed to eat blood
according to Kosher laws or the laws about eating and drinking. As a matter
of fact, meat is prepared in a certain way to remove all the blood.
Anyways, there have been so many lies circulated about the way we eat and
drink over the centuries that I didn't want my comments to be cause for more
misconceptions. Today, Islamic terrorists started the Purim blood libel
again. Pretty creeppy. I am calm, Jim. Is everyone well in your home now?
Judith
