Hi Judith,
well the key is to locate where you will place your blog. in my
example, I use my local newspaper's site. gee, I've posted maybe
ten times in a year, ranging from simple like about the recent
vanuatu earthquake, local like observations of drivers' behavior in a
nearby construction detour, I'm in a series of postings about the
health insurance national proposals, and some other very
controversial subjects, for example last summer I posted about a
local high school teacher let go apparently for being conservative,
and some of the harrassment he'd experienced. that teacher was
reinstated, perhaps I had a small role in that, I don't know.
my newspaper is:
www.ljworld.com
and posting a blog entry is quite simple.
but this is located about and focuses on the area of lawrence kansas.

judith, I know a lot of people use
www.blogspot.com
I don't have the web address but I have heard of a site that hosts
only conservative bloggers.
www.townhall.com
may allow individuals to blog with registration, I'm not sure.

honestly, the best search method might be to go to google and put in
some terms you are interested in for topics, along with the word
"blog" see what blogs come up, and look at their web addresses.
oh, this might not be the correct address:
www.rightalk.com
might be the site I was thinking or maybe it ends in .org.

the site you choose will have its own requirements for registration
and posting. your blog might be accompanied in online posting with
advertising. some might ask you to pay a small fee.

some blog sites will allow responses to your posting, and can become
lengthy discussion threads.
hope this helps Judith. and call me jim.
