Dear STYLIST and Division Members:
RE: December Telephone Gathering Sunday, December 26th OK.
Seasons Greetings! Here is hoping you are having a great Holiday! December can be a cold and snowy month, though a warm one in respects to the fellowship and warmth of family and friends. And so December can be a busy, involved time and a month that some of us will not have the extra time to join in on a Telephone Gathering. And yes, I have heard from several of our usual callers that they regret that they will not be able to attend the call with the “Puzzle Master.” And so what I wish to report, is that to ensure that we can come up with a respectful number of callers, to honor our special guest who is voluntarily joining us, I have contacted Dennis Sumlin, the president of the NFB Performing Arts Division and invited him and his membership to join us on the call. Below will be Dennis’s response and following is the text of Alan’s brief bio, a sample of 2 word games, and finally the times and phone number to call in.
I will send it out to the lists. I am not sure if I will be there, but the list has a lot of people on it.

Reminder- Word Puzzles for December, joining us we have a Puzzle Master from the National Puzzlers League
Our special guest is Alan Stillson, he is a puzzle master and comes to us through the National Puzzlers League. Interesting enough, Alan is also a published author! Below is a short biographical sketch provided to us from Alan and immediately following are samples of some of the puzzle types that he will challenged us with.
My name is Alan Stillson and I’m responding to your request for a member of National Puzzlers League to help you with a conference call on Sunday Dec. 26th. I’m the author or co-author of nine puzzle books (please see http://stillsonworks.com for details) and have done several radio and television interviews over the years. Many of my puzzles are short brainteasers and would be perfect for NFB members. I’d be happy to send you some samples of puzzles that are designed to be solved without seeing or writing.
Thank you for thinking of NPL.
