As you might guess I don't wear makeup everyday, oh well, maybe every
other day is more like it... just kidding :). Seriously although
there are some valid concerns from someone in a highly visual world,
I think much of her underlying fear in the situation is her own words
..."she has no idea how to "teach" a blind student". She teaches like
she'd teach others with perhaps some obvious extra description.
Instead of saying "You start here and work up to this point right
about here" she might say "Start applying the blush at the height of
the cheekbone and work it in deeper as you move twards the underneath
of the eye". Other than the usual class reading material and etc.
to be accessible, I'd think she'd rely on your own ability to ask
questions and fill in where "she doesn't know how to teach a blind
student". Maybe assure her coming up with alternative methods aren't
her responsibility , support and encouragement is good and you aren't
asking her to have the class wear blindfolds. You do have former
visuals to rely on which will help and you have the "I know I can do
it" attitude which is great. Perhaps a fellow classmate might be able
to help give feedback on your work out of class time in practice if
that is needed/feasible/possible.

Have fun in class.
