Joe, I wouldn't say you are sucky at writing these characters. The characters are actually very compelling. It's just something to be mindful of in your narration. For a writing sample, this is rather good. We all have our flaws we need to watch out for, but that doesn't mean it isn't worth trying. Bridgit
